Misconceptions about the human body

Why so many fail

I was a competitive athlete myself for many years, I managed fitness facilities for 20 years, developed successful workshops and looked after thousands of customers, as well as a number of professional athletes. I am 53 and keep my body fat percentage at around 5% all year round, without dieting and with minimal training and actually already an unhealthy minimum of exercise...

And because I have seen so many people fail in my care, because I have done measurements and analyzes where the numbers just didn't add up, and not least because I myself have absolutely no time for fitness lifestyle pettiness or even bodybuilding, but still have nothing against a perfect figure, I have done a lot of research for many years. And I would like to share 7 key findings with you:

The problem with the diet plan

If you have ever been on a diet, or know people who have been on a diet, then the scenario will surely sound familiar. Most people stop their diet, some are successful, and most of them are eventually caught by the yo-yo effect. Those who make it then usually end up in a prison of rules that many find unpleasant. The most extreme example of this phenomenon can be seen in bodybuilders... If you look around a bit, you will notice that this phenomenon is widespread.

Insight no. 1 is: If you don't feel like submitting your life to your figure goals, you shouldn't try to achieve them by exercising more and eating less or healthier! This does not work for the vast majority of people. And this is followed by insight no. 2: if you really want to achieve something, you really have to step on the gas, and if you take your foot off the gas, you will quickly lose most of what you've gained. I've seen it a hundred times... Unsatisfactory...

The problem with progress

If you have ever tried to lose weight or get in shape, then you are probably all too familiar with the following phenomenon. Initially, you make satisfactory progress, but pretty soon your progress slows down and you end up at a standstill fairly quickly. And because you've been fighting the whole time, the longer your diet lasts, the more energy you'll lack, so it's hardly surprising that most people stop their diet. Now it is repeatedly claimed that this is because the metabolism slows down, but we have clearly proven this in years of research with test groups. And that brings us to insight no. 3: it is not due to a slowing metabolism that many people stop losing weight. And so some give up again, others are satisfied with meager results, the third submit their lives to the fitness lifestyle, and the fourth resort to harmful drugs such as anabolics or Ozempic. All quite unsatisfactory, I think. But everyone has their astral body within them, just hidden under a layer of fat. The solution is that we have to recognize that training and nutrition are not the appropriate focus for achieving our goals. And that brings us to
insight no. 4: We have shown that it is easily possible not to lose weight, or even to gain weight, with a scientifically measured calorie deficit of 1000 or even 1500 kcal a day.
For this reason, the recommendation to eat healthier and exercise more to cut calories is a dead end for most people.

What dieting does to you

On the left and right, we see the same body, on the right in its normal state, on the left in a state of emergency with a starved fat cell. Yes, we can see the effects of this concept best in bodybuilders, who take the topic of losing weight and dieting to the extreme. And in bodybuilders, we can also see exactly where this leads, namely to the planned and targeted yo-yo effect. But that's not all, and that brings us to insight no. 5: the diet principle is the most effective way to get fatter in the long term. In the short term, you lose weight. In the long term, the code of your fat cells changes to become more voluminous. For the bodybuilder, this is okay, because he wants to gain weight all year round because he feels too slim, and then lose weight for a competition to look good for one day in his life. If it is not your goal to lose weight once or twice a year and then gain it back, then it is best to steer clear of concepts that tell you that you can lose weight permanently with exercise and diet.

out of the mess

If we take a look at the US, we can see where all these recommendations have led: to the wealthiest, but also sickest society of all time. Losing weight is the easiest thing in the world if you follow one rule: if you want to lose weight, then for heaven's sake you must not want to lose weight! And that's why we have to focus not on diet, nutrition and training, but on the crucial factors. And that brings us to Insight no. 6: Our understanding of how the body and how training works is incomplete at best. We need a new understanding of the body. And we need a new way. And that brings us to Insight No. 7: The only sensible method is mental biohacking, so that we focus on the really crucial factors and we reprogram the fat cell epigenetically so that you become and stay slim permanently.
